Welcome to my Product Design blog, I am a student at Ripley St Thomas High School in the 6th form studying Product design, Maths, Physics, Religious Education and Critical Thinking, when I leave I would like to go on to study architecture. Here are some images and descriptions of my design work at Ripley.
Major Project
For my major project in year 13 I intend to design a medical examination lamp for use in developing countries where it is often the case that doctors are requires to perform life saving procedures in poor conditions. Often the places that they conduct these procedures are dark and lack a power source to power a good light source. Examination lamps differ from normal lamps in that they can be focused to intensify the light.
My design will need to have the means to support itself and power itself, for this I will explore the possibility of renewable energy resources.
